You may be only 20 minutes to Pueblo, but you’ll feel nestled in the mountains as you explore this quaint community. Enjoy live music and dancing on Saturday nights at the Flag Mountain Grill. And on Sunday take the family out for a picnic to the Pueblo Mountain Park. The Mountain Park Environmental Center is now providing environmental education programming for a variety of groups, including families, school groups, children, and senior citizens.
Boundless recreation awaits in San Isabel National Forest from fishing, to biking, 4-wheeling, horse-back riding and boating. . . And take the day to visit Bishop’s Castle: an entire castle built by a single man – Jim Bishop.
For those of you searching for a hidden treasure – try your luck at Beulah’s very own uncommon market. And find out about upcoming events at the Community Center. For example: Beulah is one of three towns in the nation to host the “yule log festival”. Every December, a log is hidden in Pueblo Mountain Park and the town searches to find the log. When the lucky winner finds the log they yell “halueb” (Beulah spelled backwards), and the rest of the town pulls them back to town happily riding on top.
Come down for a day or a lifetime. Catch the excitement of this town for yourself.
Directions: Take Hwy 78 southwest from Pueblo about 25 miles and you will hit the heart of Beulah.
